Procurement Specialist - North Carolina - 12-Month Contract
Our client, a global CDMO in pharmaceutical manufacturing, is recruiting for a Procurement Specialist to join their new and exciting large-scale CAPEX investment programme. With a mission to provide process development and cGMP production in cell culture, microbial fermentation, and gene therapies, this is an outstanding opportunity make a genuine contribution to the biopharmaceutical industry.
Responsibilities :
Review and approval of subcontracts and purchase orders, change orders for commercial compliance to include negotiating and validating pricing and ensure prime contract flow down terms and conditions.
Review Track purchasing (orders) and contract approvals and ensure timely processing
Collaborate with Building PM’s and responsible engineers (WPO’s) to ensure subcontract and purchase order award timeline meet project schedule
Monitor Subcontract and vendor performance as well as subcontract administrator and buyer challenge and elevate issues as required to Procurement Lead
Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices
Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm change orders
Signing and reviewing purchasing agreements with vendors, monitoring their performance and renegotiating contracts
Monitor / track Agreements to ensure contract value is not exceeded prior to amendment
Requirements :
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat
Knowledge of market research
BS in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or relevant field
Work experience as a Procurement Specialist, or similar role
Solid organizational skills
Good understanding of supply chain procedures
Negotiation and communication skills
Good interpersonal skills
