Staffmark is hiring a Project Accountant in Lafayette, LA! Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional with a background in construction or project-based environments? Salary : $65,000 - $75,000 (based on experience)

Schedule : 1st Shift | Full-Time | Direct Hire

What You'll Do

• Monitor and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
• Track project expenses and prepare monthly job cost reports
• Process subcontractor invoices, change orders, and progress billings
• Partner with project managers on budget revisions and cost-to-complete estimates
• Set up new projects in the accounting system, including billing terms and codes
• Oversee accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
• Prepare and analyze project-specific financial statements
• Support monthly close with variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and industry regulations
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and contractual records
