How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse t eam of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Project Engineer II, you will provide structural, hydraulic, and problem-solving expertise for cooling tower projects, spanning multiple product lines and materials. The incumbent will lead the research, engineering, and project management efforts required to develop cost-effective product solutions, ensuring structural integrity, compliance with design codes, and seamless coordination across internal teams and external vendors. This role supports new product development, order fulfillment, and field troubleshooting while driving innovation, optimizing designs for efficiency, and maintaining engineering excellence across all aspects of product lifecycle management.

This role encourages innovation and continuously improves efficiency of technical support, monitors advances of technology and competition, and supports global and acquisition-related technical issues in areas of expertise.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be :

• Engineering & Design
• Perform engineering analyses, calculations, and develop new designs.
• Review, approve, and control vendor-supplied engineering documents.
• Write engineering specifications for tower lines and components.
• Project Management & Support
• Manage projects, schedule task, and execute document control processes.
• Provide pricing information for new quotes and perform project engineering functions as needed.
• Support manufacturing, construction, and commissioning teams with engineering solutions.
• Customer & Field Support
• Work directly with customers on engineering issues and develop field solutions.
• Train associate engineers and travel to sites to understand and resolve field challenges.
• Sign and approve drawings for new and project-specific designs.
