Position Summary
Advance Zayed Law Offices’ reputation as a premier personal injury and medical malpractice law firm through innovative public relations strategies. Position the firm and its attorneys as trusted legal authorities on catastrophic injury cases, both in Illinois and in our expanding markets, while ensuring alignment with the firm’s mission of delivering justice and restoring clients’ lives. Work to position Adam as a thought expert and maintain his reputation as we scale nationally.
Essential Functions
Media Strategy & Storytelling
Proactively identify, develop, and pitch story ideas highlighting Zayed Law Offices’ case results, trial victories, attorney expertise, and community engagement.
Secure earned media placements in television, print, radio, podcasts, and online publications at local, regional, and national levels.
Develop media kits, press releases, op-eds, talking points, and briefing materials with clear, persuasive, and brand-consistent messaging.
Media Relations
Serve as the firm’s primary media contact for legal stories, arranging interviews and ensuring attorneys are well-prepared for public appearances.
Cultivate relationships with journalists, producers, and influencers to increase opportunities for expert commentary and thought leadership.
Monitor and respond to emerging news topics where the firm can contribute authoritative insights.
Partner with attorneys and marketing to create an annual editorial plan that aligns PR efforts with case milestones, legislative developments, and advocacy initiatives.
Contribute to social media content that amplifies PR campaigns and media coverage.
Analysis & Reporting
Track and analyze PR campaign performance, media impressions, and audience reach.
Produce regular reports on coverage, trends, and opportunities to enhance visibility.
Identify and mitigate potential PR risks, ensuring timely, accurate, and strategic responses to inquiries.
Monitor legal industry news and competitive activity to position Zayed Law Offices effectively in the marketplace.
Qualifications
Associate degree in public relations, communications, or related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years of professional public relations experience with a proven record of media placements and high-quality content creation.
Experience in legal, corporate, or professional services PR strongly preferred.
Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex legal concepts into accessible language.
Established media contacts and experience in pitching legal or high-stakes subject matter desirable.
Strong understanding of media tracking tools (e.g., Cision, Meltwater) and Google Workspace; familiarity with WordPress beneficial.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, stay organized and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
