In essence, this position acts as a gatekeeper for the organization's data, ensuring its integrity,

      POSITION SPECIFIC TASK / CORE RESPONSIBILITIES :

    • Database Management : Installing, configuring, and upgrading SQL Server database systems
    • Performance Optimization : Tuning database performance, optimizing queries, and managing indexes
    • Security : Managing user access, permissions, and implementing security policies
    • Backup and Recovery : Implementing and maintaining backup and recovery strategies for data protection
    • Monitoring : Monitoring database health, performance, and availability
    • Troubleshooting : Diagnosing and resolving database-related issues
    • Documentation : Creating and maintaining documentation for database configurations and procedures
    • Collaboration : Working with developers and other IT professionals to support database needs

      • SPECIFIC TASKS :

    • Database Design and Implementation : Assisting in the design and implementation of new databases, including schema design, and creating database objects like tables, views, and stored procedures
    • High Availability and Disaster Recovery : Implementing solutions like Always On Availability Groups or clustering for high availability and disaster recovery
    • Capacity Planning : Monitoring database growth trends and planning for future capacity needs
    • Automation : Developing and maintaining scripts for automating routine database tasks
    • Patch Management : Applying SQL Server patches and updates to keep the system secure and up-to-date
