Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management within manufacturing or aerospace environments, with a focus on implementing and managing safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of safety across the site. This role will involve hands-on leadership, internal audits, safety training oversight, and active involvement in risk management and incident investigations.

Key Responsibilities

• Internal Audits : Plan, conduct, and document internal safety audits to ensure compliance with company safety policies and relevant regulations.
• Safety Program Management : Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs to promote a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety meetings, briefings, and toolbox talks.
• Safety Advocacy : Act as an advocate for safety at the site, promoting a culture of safety awareness and best practices among all employees.
• Training Oversight : Monitor safety training programs, ensuring that all personnel complete required training on time and that records are properly maintained.
• Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) : Conduct thorough job hazard analyses to identify potential risks and implement effective control measures.
• Incident Investigation : Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions related to workplace injuries and illnesses. Ensure all incidents are investigated and documented appropriately.
• OSHA Compliance & Record Keeping : Maintain up-to-date and accurate OSHA records, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and reporting requirements.
• Leadership & Innovation : Take a proactive, leader-spirited approach to safety, continuously looking for ways to pioneer safety improvements and engage the workforce in safety initiatives.

Working Conditions : This is an onsite position based in Luling, requiring regular presence at the facility. Occasional travel may be required for training or other business-related needs. Candidates must reside no more than 100 miles from Luling.
