Quantity Surveyor
Automation Personnel Services is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join a leading EPC contractor. The company is based in Houston, TX, with this position located in Amarillo, TX . In this role, you will be responsible for preparing quantity estimates, analyzing project costs, and developing cost-effective plans that ensure efficiency and maintain the highest quality standards across multiple projects. This position requires the ability to work away from home for extended periods. A per diem and travel pay is provided.
Pay Rate
$35 per hour, depending on experience.
Must be available for out-of-town travel for extended periods.
Schedule and Hours
Typically Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.; additional hours may be required based on project needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Review construction plans and prepare Bills of Quantity (BOQ).
- Estimate quantities and costs of materials, labor, and equipment.
- Analyze material, maintenance, and contract costs to ensure cost efficiency.
- Prepare reports, budgets, risk assessments, and cost analyses.
- Track and document project progress, material usage, and financial reports.
- Use software tools to calculate, record, and track estimates and inventory.
- Prepare interim and final valuations, variations, and claims for projects.
- Monitor and update budgets as project scopes or designs change.
- Manage material and inventory requests to ensure timely project completion.
- Travel to various job sites as required, sometimes for extended periods.
