Radiology Practical Technician

The mission of the Student Health Center (SHC) is to create the best possible experience for the patient by providing quality healthcare services, with compassion and efficiency, in a Christ centered environment. As a member of the SHC team the Radiology Practical Technician will carry out the mission statement and assist clinicians by knowing the job well and performing it efficiently. Note : This is a part-time position 20 hours per week and a temporary role with a duration of approximately 1 to 6 months.

What you'll do in this position :

• Responds promptly, professionally and courteously to patient's needs
• Provides efficient effective patient care in compliance with clinic policies and procedures, legal and regulatory standards.
• Prepares patients for exam. Interviews patients and ensures all pertinent information is available to the physician
• Maintains clean and orderly exam rooms. Ensures exam rooms are stocked with needed supplies and equipment. Cleans and sterilizes instruments following clinic policy and procedures.
• Performs x-rays in all certified areas. Inputs images to PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and EMR (Centricity).
• Maintains CPR and RPT certification
• Attends meetings as required.
