School Social Worker

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)

Active state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker (per state requirements)

Experience working with children or in a school setting preferred

Strong communication, organizational, and advocacy skills

Responsibilities

Provide counseling and support services for students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges

Develop and implement behavior intervention plans and support strategies

Participate in IEP and 504 planning and meetings as needed

Collaborate with families, teachers, and administrators to improve student outcomes

Serve as a liaison between schools, families, and community resources

Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and licensing requirements
