Ability to work with minimal supervision Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic Ability to interact with all levels of staff, including management Ability to work irregular hours including, night shifts, weekends and holidays - Shifts are Midnight - 8 : 00 am, with occasional daylight shifts as necessary. Requires a large amount of walking, stair climbing, and standing to access all seating areas. Requires use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Requires work in both indoor and outdoor settings and may be subjected to adverse conditions. This position may be exposed to high noise levels. Must be 18 years of age or older

Position Summary
This is a hands-on position responsible for the oversight, cleanliness, and safety of a designated area during an event at the PPG Paints Arena in accordance with established guidelines and procedures under the direction of the Lead Janitor and Operations Manager.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $15.65.
Will be required to join the union, upon invitation, following 90-day probationary period
Benefits for PT roles : 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching. Also, OVG provides part-time, seasonal, and internship employees with one hour of accrued paid leave per 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year.
EVERGREEN ROLE : Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline
About the Venue
As a leading entertainment venue, PPG Paints Arena is the regional epicenter for athletic events, concerts, and family shows in Western Pennsylvania, and home to the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins.
Responsibilities
- Maintain neatness and sanitation in assigned areas at all times.
- Clean and sanitize assigned work areas that include seating areas, floors, restrooms, etc., using mechanical and / or manual equipment following proper sanitization protocols.
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles in assigned areas and wheel full hampers to compactor
- Monitor cleaning supplies and paper products and notify supervisor of needed items at the end of a shift.
- Maintain neatness and cleanliness of custodial storage areas and equipment.
- Follow safety rules and regulations
- Report any unsafe or hazardous conditions to supervisor immediately
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Janitor and Operations Manager.
- Occasionally work as casual utility assisting in the set-up of events.
- Be knowledgeable about locations throughout the facility.
- Be respectful, courteous, and helpful to all guests and fellow employees.
