Academics Rochester are recruiting for a part time EAL Teaching Assistant to start working at a primary school in Gillingham, Kent
The role will start after the Easter break and will continue until July 2025 where there will be the opportunity of the role becoming permanent.
When you are in the role you will be there to ensure all young people whose first language is not English have access to the highest levels of support which will enable them to flourish across the curriculum. You will make a difference to those students who have additional needs and require additional support and extended services to overcome barriers to learning. You will be joining a team that is committed to improving outcomes for all pupils. You will have excellent interpersonal skills.

Experience, Training and qualifications :
- Recent school experience or evidence of working with children where English is not their first language
- TEFL or TESOL qualification (desirable)
- Experience of helping EAL students
- GCSE English and Maths grade C or 4 & above
