Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data management sector, is seeking a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 4 to join their team. As a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 4, you will be part of the Data Center Operations supporting technical infrastructure and ensuring optimal performance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title : Data Center Technician - Technical IT 4

Location : onsite - Phoenix, AZ

End Date : 1 / 31 / 2026 with potential extension

Pay Range : $37 - $41 / hour

DAY SHIFT - 12-hour shift

What's the Job?

  • Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns of hardware components such as racks, hard drives, and switches following detailed instructions and standard protocols.
  • Conduct post-execution quality checks, verifying grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling are correctly set up according to safety and deployment standards.
  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify issues quickly, replacing faulty components to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Decommission hardware for complex upgrades or system changes, ensuring compliance with security protocols and proper documentation.
  • Communicate, report, and escalate incidents effectively to data center management and technician leads, maintaining clear and professional communication.

What's Needed?

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, with basic knowledge of computer hardware components.
  • Minimum of 5+ years supporting IT equipment or related technology in a data center environment.
  • Experience working in a data center setting with a solid understanding of hardware deployment and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays, to support 24 / 7 data center operations.
