Procurement Program Manager
The Manager of Procurement Programs will direct new program launches and product life cycle maintenance processes for the procurement department. This will be accomplished through the development of procurement project plans for new product launches, cost-down projects, and effective escalation / resourcing projects. The Procurement Program Manager will be the main stakeholder interface into and out of the procurement team and will be responsible for executing sourcing decisions and contracts created by the commodity teams.
Core functions include acting as the primary procurement interface to cross-functional product line teams working on execution of new product development process deliverables, leading procurement communications within the product line team, maintaining a product line procurement roadmap, managing the procurement function within the ECR / PCR systems, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies, maintaining supply chain value stream maps, organizing new product and new product potential projects, providing program deliverable tracking and status reporting, supporting the performance escalation process, leading process improvement initiatives, and more.
Qualifications and requirements include a bachelor's degree, 7 to 10 years of negotiation and buying experience in a manufacturing environment, 3+ years of program management experience, experience in a multi-national company, 5+ years of leading international and cross-functional teams, experience in new program launch support activities, solid experience working with international procurement practices and regulation, experience in IATF16949 quality standards, experience in MRO, capex, and other electro-mechanical commodity markets, certification in procurement or supply chain management preferred, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, ability to understand contracts and negotiations, ability to effectively present information, ability to negotiate, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, confidence to work independently, creative and excellent organizational and coordination skills, and positive and team-oriented.
Occasional travel may be required, roughly 25%.
The position is subject to sedentary work, physical activities including walking, talking, and hearing, close visual acuity, and inside environmental conditions.
