Akkodis is recruiting for a Quality Systems Technical Writer for an aerospace manufacturer in the the Grand Rapids, MI area. This is a contract to hire role with a pay range of $50 an hour to $60 an hour depending on education, experience and location.

• Developing and writing systemic documentation to support AS9100 / AS9910 Business Management Systems
• Analyze and edit document content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency within established documentation architecture
• Collaborate with process owners to gather information and prepares process related documentation
• Familiarization with Process Turtles (and / or Process Mapping) concepts
• Managing documentation projects across wide-ranging disciplines (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality)
• Reviewing and proofreading documentation for grammar, spelling, and adherence to style guidelines
• Simplifying technical language to easy-to-read and understand by a broad diverse audience
• Excellent writing and editing skills : Strong grammar, syntax, and ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
• Technical aptitude : Ability to quickly understand and interpret technical concepts and processes.
• Collaboration and communication : Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, to include Subject Mater Expert interviews.
• Attention to detail : Ensuring accuracy and consistency in all documentation.
• Time management : Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in documentation tools : Microsoft Office 365 Products (Word, Excel, Visio)
• Elevated typing skills (both speed, and error rate)
• HS diploma with 5-7 years technical writing experience.

Pay Details : $50.00 to $60.00 per hour
