Prior experience working on U.S. Navy and / or other DoD programs preferred.

Responsibilities
Noblis MSD's mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) and their mission is to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. Currently we are looking to hire a Technical Writer.
The Technical Writer will be :
- Subject matter expert with the U.S. Navy on surface fleet maintenance policies and procedures for Hull, Mechanical, & Electrical (HM&E) systems, particularly technical data, which is recorded information regardless of format, such as manuals or drawings of a scientific or technical nature.
- Develop moderately complex technical information, prepare written text and illustrations, and layout and organize technical documentation.
- Develop technical documentation in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, and in SGML using Arbortext Editor for the Navy Publishing Application (NPA) Contenta system.
- Research and interpret design reports, drawings, equipment procedures, and test specifications.
- Write analytical and interpretive technical literature and procedures.
- Communicate with engineers and other personnel for information gathering.
- Perform Quality Assurance reviews.
