Territory Manager
The Territory Manager has responsibility for an assigned service territory with direct supervision of route representatives. Responsible for Territory service safety and results, including but not limited to customer retention, growth of the business, loss and ruin, piece budget, employee retention, accounts receivable (AR) collection, customer renewals, Vestis direct sales, customer satisfaction, route sales and credits.
Responsibilities include promoting and sustaining a safety culture, effectively evaluating, coaching, and developing Route Sales Representatives (RSRs), and creating a pervasive sales culture. The role also involves managing day-to-day activities of customer service programs, visiting customers to review growth and service opportunities, and negotiating renewal agreements with existing customers. Additionally, the Territory Manager recruits, selects, and hires Route Sales employees, coordinates collections for accounts receivable, and investigates and reports on all accidents or incidents within 24 hours of notification.
Knowledge / skills / abilities include demonstrated ability to interface with various organizational functions, strong interpersonal, analytical, communication, and customer service skills, considerable negotiation skills, computer proficiency, and considerable skills in management, human relations, and communication.
The working environment includes driving to call on customers and supervise employees, exposure to weather conditions, and frequent lifting and maneuvering of products. Commercial vehicles operation requires physical qualifications to drive a Commercial Motor Vehicle and carry a medical examiners certificate.
Experience / qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, a bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, two years of service and route-based industry experience, previous profit and loss accountability, significant customer interface and service experience, and production planning, maintenance, or warehouse operations experience.
License requirements include a valid driver's license, automobile insurance on personal vehicle, and successful completion of criminal background, motor vehicle record, and drug screen checks.

Compensation ranges from $79,300 to $85,000 per year, depending on skills and qualifications, degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission.
