Aerospace And Aviation Training Instructor

Provides C-5 aircraft systems / operational procedures instruction; classroom and simulator aviation instruction and / or practical environments training. Assist as Subject Matter Expert, as required. May provide additional services such as courseware review and other additional administrative and / or collateral duties such as publications, safety, quality audits, FCIF, scheduling, and other duties as maybe assigned by the Program or Site Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Provides Pilot procedures instruction in classroom and simulator environments.
• May assist with the development and updates of training devices.
• Assists as a Subject Matter Expert in the development of curriculum for new type courses, and review of existing lessons and / or changes to existing lessons.
• Provides suggestions to improve and update training policies and procedures.
• Promotes a positive attitude towards learning and embracing new technologies and tasks.
• Performs diagnosis and remediation of student performance issues.
• Assists in project and development work as assigned.
• Performs administrative duties such as student record keeping, monitoring student progress, counseling, quality assurance, safety, and security.
• Must be physically able to enter simulator, and take cognizance of student's safety when on board the simulator.
• Must maintain proficiency in operation of Aircrew Training Devices.
• Aviation instruction is a highly specialized function that requires the instructor to have prior aircraft operating experience and the ability to hold creditability and the attention of the customer attendees.
• Must acquire and maintain proficiency in all areas of instruction, to such a level as to be able to pass standardization checks, classroom evaluations, etc.
