TV Traffic Director | Morgan Murphy Media - West Spokane, WA / Kennewick, WA / Yakima, WA About us : Morgan Murphy Media - West is comprised of three markets in WA : KXLY TV in Spokane, WA, KAPP TV in Yakima, WA and KVEW TV in Kennewick, WA. About this opportunity : We have an immediate full-time opening for a Traffic Director to lead our top-notch team of Traffic Assistants dedicated to providing traffic support to all Morgan Murphy Media – West properties including the following network affiliations in all three markets : ABC, MeTV, Heroes & Icons, Start TV, DABL, QVC, and HSN. What you’ll do : Prepare daily program log by obtaining information such as source, location, and length of program. Coordinate the activities of traffic assistants. Coordinate with Master Control. Work closely with General Sales Managers to maximize inventory. Act as conduit between News and Sales for any sponsored news products. Calculate exact length of programs and time slots available for promotional material. Also assigns promotional material to be inserted between programs as a backup. Coordinate computer operations regarding program scheduling; determine problems with the system and confer with data processing personnel to resolve. Maintain program logging or other operational procedures as new regulations or technology require. Coordinate with promotion / creative services department to solve logistical problems in coordination of on-air promotions for daytime and evening programming. What you’ll bring : 5 years of broadcast traffic experience preferred. Knowledge of federal and state broadcast rules and regulations. Knowledge of broadcast traffic operations. Knowledge of television technical operations. Skill in both verbal and written communication. College education or two years relevant experience preferred. High level experience with the use of Wide Orbit Traffic preferred. Working knowledge and understanding of broadcast traffic systems preferred. Previous broadcast traffic, billing, or accounting experience preferred. What we offer : Pay range : $28.50-$30.90 per hour.
