Job Title : Welder
Job Description
Join our team as a Welder on the 2nd shift from 2 : 00 pm to 10 : 30 pm, where you will utilize your skills to fit and weld metal per customer specifications, primarily in the flat position.
Responsibilities
Fit and weld metal parts according to customer specifications.
Perform MIG welding from blueprints, primarily on steel and occasionally on stainless steel.
Interpret and work from basic drawings and weld symbols.
Conduct fitting and layout from blueprints.
Execute other welding-related tasks such as grinding, polishing, and visual inspection of welds.
Fabricate various industrial metal parts including cradles for portable crane arms, bus parts, and military vehicle components.
Essential Skills
D1.1 - 3G certification is mandatory.
Ability to read and interpret weld symbols.
Experience as a graduate from a reputable welding school.
Proficiency in MIG welding and working from blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
D1.1 certification is required, with a preference for GMAW (MIG).
2-3 recent years of MIG welding experience are preferred.
D1.5 certification is also acceptable.
Work Environment
The work environment consists of a self-governing team where supervisors provide direction and correction as needed. Employees are expected to maintain a collective standard of performance. The shop is older, heated in the winter, but not air-conditioned. The shift schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 : 00 am to 3 : 30 pm, with occasional rotation to Monday to Friday, 3 : 00 pm to 12 : 30 am as necessary.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of VERONA, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00 / hr.
