Key Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring all MRO activities and inspection functions meet company, industry, and regulatory standards and requirements. The Chief Inspector is part of the leadership team to ensure safety and quality processes are always in place.
Key Deliverables of the Position
- Select, audit, and approve maintenance / repair vendors and other 3rd party as required to support Repair Station activities.
- Develop new and refine old quality process that will lead to AS9100 certification. Communicate and coordinate with our customers, other facilities, and sister companies to ensure delivery of quality, compliant products and services.
- Responsible for the control and administration of processes, procedures, and instructions.
- Coordinate with all quality inspections, discrepancies, and other pertinent quality matters, including receiving, in-process, and final inspections.
- Ensures the highest quality service, safety standards and performance, with the objective of exceeding customer satisfaction in the re-delivery of airworthy, reliable, clean aircraft and components, in a timely manner
- Aircraft Service Bulletins & Airworthiness Directive research
- Establish standards and procedures for the repair station inspection system
- Ensure the designated inspectors are thoroughly familiar with the inspection methods, techniques, aids, tools, and equipment used within their assigned area of responsibility
- Ensure all incoming, hidden damage, preliminary, in-process and final inspections are performed in accordance with Repair Station Manual
- Ensues there are no defective, non-conforming, or un-airworthy parts installed in any component or aircraft released to service
- Ensure that records of maintenance, inspection, and alterations are maintained in accordance with FAA / Repair Station standards
- Ensure precision tooling is controlled and calibrated
- Maintain a listing of approved outside contractors, evaluate if necessary and coordinate approval
- Ensures in-coming receiving inspections are performed properly per FAA / Repair Station Standards
- Ensures all employees follow work away procedures and tasks May perform other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience
Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school desired, or a minimum of one to three years of related experience and / or training.5 to 10 years’ experience Knowledgeable of regulatory requirements
