The full salary range for the Campus Fire Inspector is $75,900 - $137,300 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is from $73,600 - $110,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.Under the general supervision of the Lead Designated Campus Fire Marshal, the incumbent is responsible for performing professional duties related to fire and life safety, as part of a multi-disciplinary professional / technical staff. The Campus Fire Inspector ensures that the campus is in compliance with State codes and regulations applicable to fire safety buildings and equipment, including Titles 8, 9, 19, 24, et.al. of the California Code of Regulation. In addition, the incumbent will ensure compliance with applicable national standards related to fire safety including the National Fire Protection Association Standards. Performs required inspections of fire extinguishing systems on Campus, including but not limited to automatic fire sprinkler systems, hydrant systems, standpipe systems, fixed extinguishing systems, and fire protective signaling systems. Performs annual Title 19 building safety inspections and Title 24 new construction inspections.Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position.
