Location : Hayden, ID or Spokane Valley, WA
Job Type : Full-time
Pay : $26.00 – $35.00 per hour (depending on certifications and experience)

Embankment & Base
In-Place Density
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maneuver 75 lbs with assistance
Willingness to travel throughout northern Idaho and eastern Washington for on-site inspections
Proficiency in using tablets or mobile devices for field reporting
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled WAQTC Certified Special Inspector to join our team and support inspection and materials testing across northern Idaho and eastern Washington . This is a field-based position that combines technical expertise with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and client service.

Key Responsibilities
Perform field inspections and materials testing in accordance with WAQTC procedures and project specifications
Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved plans, codes, and standards
Conduct testing of aggregates, asphalt, base materials, and in-place densities
Operate and maintain field / lab equipment, including nuclear gauges and density equipment
Accurately document and submit electronic field reports using mobile devices
Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and internal teams in a professional manner
Preferred Certifications
ACI Field Testing Technician Grade I (or higher)
Nuclear Gauge Safety Training
ICC Certifications in areas such as :
Reinforced Concrete
Pre-Stressed Concrete
Structural Steel & Bolting
Structural Welding
Spray-Applied & Intumescent Fireproofing
