job_description.job_card.job_descriptionManage the check-out and assignment of welding tools and equipment to students and instructors, ensuring accurate tracking and tool availability. Assist with basic repairs and maintenance of tools and equipment to minimize downtime and maintain optimal functioning in the lab. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe welding lab by ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored and easily accessible. Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or equipment needs to the supervisor to ensure continuous availability of necessary tools. Communicate effectively with students, instructors, and staff to provide exceptional customer service and foster a collaborative environment. Inspect and ensure all tools are in proper working condition, ready for immediate use in welding tasks. Contribute to a safe and efficient work environment by keeping the lab organized and adhering to safety protocols at all times. Strong written and verbal communication abilities Strong organizational skills Self-motivated and disciplined Proactively take initiative Keen attention to detail Ability to move 50 pounds 2.0 GPA (minimum) Registered for 9.0 credits for Fall and Spring semesters Registered for 6.0 credit for Summer semester Participate in Campus Internship Program professional development activities Currently pursuing a Degree or Certificate in Welding Familiarity with a wide range of tools and their functions Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environment Proficient in Microsoft Outlook Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
