Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding procedures, and isometric drawings. Capable of assessing and ensuring high-quality welds and fit-up. Comfortable working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. Bilingual (English / Spanish) strongly preferred due to team dynamics. Must be available for mandatory overtime (Monday – Saturday schedule). $32 – $37 / hour based on experience. Hourly role with mandatory overtime . Job description :
Company in Catoosa seeking an experienced Bilingual Welding Supervisor to lead operations in their pipe shop. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience welding carbon steel pipe and a solid background in pipe fitting and welding (TIG, MIG, Flux Core – both in-position and on roll-outs). This is a leadership role with limited time under the hood, but you will be expected to assist or correct welds as needed.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise and coordinate daily welding operations in the pipe shop.
- Delegate tasks effectively to welding crews, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are met.
- Review welds for quality and compliance; step in to correct or guide on proper technique if necessary.
- Communicate with foremen, project managers, and other departments to ensure workflow and deadlines are maintained.
- Train and mentor welders and pipe fitters, reinforcing best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety protocols and industry standards.
- May be asked to demonstrate welding capabilities or discuss techniques during the interview process.
