Summary :

The Manager, Architect Design & Construction reports to the AVP, Design, Construction & Real Estate. Responsibilities include the coordination of design services, and management of design standards for new construction projects, renovation projects and hospital facility upgrades. Provides oversight and coordination of design teams management to include evaluation and selection (EQD). Develops RFP's and RFQ's for procurement of professional design services and consultants. Analyzes proposals and makes recommendations to the Department AVP and PMs. Reviews project design related payment applications for accuracy and processing. Assists the Supply Chain and Legal departments with A&E agreements and contact development. Works collaboratively with all departments across the entire system, both corporately and on an individual hospital basis, to ensure design standards are followed. Works very closely with the Marketing / Branding Team to assure consistency with physical representation of the BH brand on all facilities. Works with and solicits input from the Facilities Management team regarding preferred building systems, equipment, and materials that enhance the facilities lifecycle and operational efficiency. Possesses coordination leadership overall design professional services contracted by BH and will function as the organization’s gatekeeper with relevant local and state AHJs pertaining to design reviews and approvals. MUST HAVE Hospital / Healthcare related experience.
