Office Engineer / Project Engineer

We are seeking an Office Engineer / Project Engineer, with 5 years of experience, to join our Construction Management team on construction projects in the Yonkers area. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual to join our team locally with support from one of the best-qualified municipal consulting firms in the country. As an Office Engineer / Project Engineer, you will utilize your experience and technical knowledge of municipal infrastructure, water and wastewater facilities, and general building projects to successfully execute and manage our projects under the supervision of the Resident Engineer.

Role Accountabilities :

• Support the firm's day-to-day construction oversight and assist Resident Engineering efforts on major municipal contracts.
• Support inspection staff and the delivery of daily inspector reports in accordance with clients' requirements. Act as liaison to the Design Engineer to manage Contractor RFI responses, shop drawing reviews, and contract change requests.
• Responsible for project meeting agendas and minutes, record keeping, compilation of time and material records, general correspondence, compiling and drafting of required reports and deliverables, and maintenance of project SharePoint site.
• Responsible for the Contractor payment process, reviews payment items with inspection staff, and recommends appropriate adjustments as necessary.
• Responsible for field inspection and investigation duties as necessary and as directed by the Resident Engineer.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
