Position Overview

The Memo Clerk is responsible for processing all memo, swatch, and CFA (Cutting for Approval) orders.

What you'll do

  • Batch new orders for memos, swatches, and CFAs.
  • Pull memos from bins or cut from inventory on the floor.
  • Cut CFAs and tag bolts with necessary information.
  • Operate the Swatch Master to cut swatches.
  • Package items for shipment.
  • Ship orders via USPS or hand them over to Shipping for other methods.
  • Restock memo inventory as needed.
  • Turn in orders to Inventory Control if goods are not available.
  • Comply with all facility safety rules and regulations.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) properly and report any defective PPE.
  • Stand for up to seven hours or more per shift.
  • Complete various activities that may require lifting or carrying in all directions.
  • Occasionally push / pull carts and ascend / descend ladders.
  • Frequently operate hand tools and repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands, and / or fingers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Who you are

  • High school graduate
  • General knowledge of fabric
  • Ability to use hand tools
  • Successfully pass color blind test
  • Accuracy with names, numbers and spelling
  • Capable of standing for extended periods of time
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic computer proficiency
