Position Description
Manages and directs the day-to-day operations of a research center / institute or medium-sized department. Plans, coordinates and supervises the operation and activities of the center / institute / department. Develops and implements policies and procedures, administers the budget, organizes tasks and sets priorities.

Major / Essential Functions
- Oversees the nursing functions of a health facility, including direct and indirect supervision of a 24-hour, 7-day a week health system.
- Coordinates medical providers’ schedule availability and medical services operations to ensure patients’ access-to-care is timely and appropriate.
- Coordinates dental providers’ schedule availability and medical services operations to ensure patients’ access-to-care is timely and appropriate.
- Coordinates with mental health providers to ensure access to psychiatry services and mental health counseling services are timely and appropriate.
- Establishes and manages care coordination efforts for referrals to specialty care and hospital care. Works with network providers to create mutually beneficial care pathways enhancing patients’ access to care.
- Is fully responsible for the administrative and operational activities in the health facility, including fiscal responsibility, staffing, and ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and university requirements.
- Works with university departments to establish and manage health quality and compliance practices to ensure high quality patient care, compliance to all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus six years of progressively responsible management experience OR a combination of education and / or years of experience in management to equal a minimum of 10 years.
