JOB SUMMARY
Vaco Technology is currently seeking an Oracle DBA / Migration Engineer (OnPrem-to-AWS) for a 2M+ Contract that is 100% remote. The Oracle DBA / Migration Engineer with strong expertise in Oracle 19C Database Administration and AWS DMS (AWS Database Migration Service). The Oracle DBA / Migration Engineer will lead the migration of OnPrem Oracle Databases hosted on AIX Servers to AWS Cloud Infrastructure. The Oracle DBA / Migration Engineer must possess extensive experience in homogeneous / heterogeneous migrations, schema conversions, and cloud-native DB deployments to ensure secure, high-performance, and fault-tolerant data environments in the cloud.

About the Project : This project will be focused on executing end-to-end migrations of Oracle 19c databases from OnPrem AIX servers to AWS (EC2 / RDS / Aurora). The Oracle DBA / Migration Engineer requires hands-on expertise with Oracle RMAN, Data Pump, AWS DMS, and AWS SCT to support both homogeneous (Oracle-to-Oracle) and heterogeneous (Oracle-to-Aurora PostgreSQL) migrations. The Oracle DBA / Migration Engineer will lead schema conversion, data replication, performance tuning, and ensure secure, compliant database deployments in the cloud. The Oracle DBA / Migration Engineer must be proficient in AIX shell scripting, PL / SQL, and performance tuning, with familiarity in Terraform / CloudFormation and CI / CD pipeline integration preferred.
