Job Description
Position Summary
- Under the direction of the School Leader or other certificated employee, the Instructional Aide will assist by performing a variety of instructional support duties to individual or small groups of students within the special education setting or regular classroom (both in an in-person classroom setting and virtually).
- These duties shall be designed to complement the instructional program to maximize the learning opportunity for the inclusion student.
- The Instructional Aide will also assist in the establishment and implementation of appropriate classroom and school-wide behavior and perform a routine of clerical tasks as assigned.
- This role is paid over a 12 month period , including scheduled school breaks and summer break . The salary range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00 / hour. This rate, coupled with the additional 60 days of school break pay we offer, results in annualized pay that is, on average, significantly more than our district peers.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands
Physical : Ability to navigate school and classroom settings. Ability to access and utilize technology. Occasional lifting / carrying of equipment 1-20 lbs. Physical agility to move self in various positions in order to execute duties effectively, which may include kneeling, walking, pushing / pulling, squatting, twisting, turning, bending, stooping and reaching overhead.
Mental : Stress of deadlines and normal work standards, ability to analyze problems and generate alternatives, work with interruptions, concentrate for long periods of time, read, calculate, perform routine math problems, memorize and recall objects and people.
Environmental : School and classroom environment subject to constant interruptions and distractions . Adhere to KIPP’s health and safety guidelines as outlined by the CDC, CDE, and public health agencies’ recommendations.
Classification
This is a full-time, 40 hour a week, non-exempt position based on a school year calendar cycle and time off policy, located at our school sites.
This role is paid over a 12 month period , including scheduled school breaks and summer break . The salary range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00 / hour. This rate, coupled with the additional 60 days of school break pay we offer, results in annualized pay that is, on average, significantly more than our district peers.
