The Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an exceptionally talented, motivated, and creative Silicon Process Integration Manager 1 at our Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) - located outside of Baltimore, Maryland - where we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal and commercial production customers as well as emerging technology programs. Northrop Grumman's ATL semiconductor foundry is a unique capability supporting a range of production microelectronic devices (Silicon, Gallium Arsenide, Gallium Nitride, and Silicon Carbide) and providing leading edge technology development in superconducting electronics. Our devices enable a number of Northrop Grumman's ground-based radars, avionic radars, and space systems.

Our multidisciplinary foundry team enables activities from development to sustainment process engineering. ATL is responsible for all aspects of semiconductor technology including design, mask making, wafer fabrication, test, and assembly. The candidate must be a strong team participant, have excellent communication skills, and be resourceful and multi-talented. A strong understanding of semiconductor technology and microelectronic process engineering is essential. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate leadership characteristics, a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business. In this blended role, the ideal candidate will possess the ability to balance programmatic needs to deliver results within cost, schedule, and quality parameters while encouraging and rewarding innovative behaviors in the staff.
Roles and Responsibilities : The Silicon Process Integration Engineering Manager 1 will be responsible for technical and management activities associated with foundry semiconductor fabrication. As part of the Silicon Production team, the Manager of Process Integration will serve as a functional manager for a group of Engineers supporting Silicon technologies. In addition, the Silicon Process Integration Engineering Manager 1 will be responsible for employee tasking, project management, and program / engineering interface activities. Functional duties include onboarding, quarterly connections, time charging approval, and employee development.
Basic Qualifications for Silicon Process Integration Manager 1 :
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or other related technical discipline with 4 years of relevant experience; Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or other related technical discipline with 3 years of relevant experience. PhD in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or other related technical discipline with 1 year of relevant experience.
- Experience with semiconductor fabrication, materials research, operations, or quality processes
- Prior management or leadership experience (team lead, project lead, organization lead, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of statistical process control (SPC)
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications for Silicon Process Integration Manager 1 :
Primary Level Salary Range : $112,600.00 - $169,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and / or personal business.
