About the job : The Overnight Veterinary Technician position will assist the hospital in delivering

excellent care to all of our patients within the hospital. Perform Veterinary Technician duties pursuant to Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital protocols. Embodies the culture in treating every client with the utmost courteous and attentive treatment possible, with a keen sensitivity to the emotional bond between owners and their pets.

How you'll make a difference

• Monitor and appropriately document patient vital signs and activity
• Provide all technical support to emergency veterinarians
• Provide comfort, diagnostic, surgical and nursing care to all patients including critical care
• patients
• Perform basic, emergent, and critical care anesthetic monitoring
• Obtain and prepare samples for diagnostic testing including but not limited to blood draws,
• arterial blood gas sampling, cystocentesis, urinary catheter sampling and free catch urine
• Perform various laboratory procedures including but not limited to blood typing, cross
• matching, and slide agglutination testing
• Accurately take and process abdominal, thoracic, appendicular, spinal, and skull radiograph
• while following appropriate radiation safety protocols
• Properly use and maintain medical equipment
• Provide professional client communication

Schedule : Thursday through Saturday, 6 : 00pm - 6 : 00am or 7 : 00pm - 7 : 00am

Sunday through Tuesday, 6 : 00pm - 6 : 00am or 7 : 00pm - 7 : 00am

Salary : $29.00 - $34.00 (this range includes the differential)
