Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the Convenient Care Clinics. Anchored by a 392-bed full service hospital and serving communities throughout central Missouri, Convenient Care Clinics are in Columbia. The candidate for this position will be joining an established clinic focused to improve the health of the people and communities we serve.

Boone is currently a Magnet Hospital for its nursing excellence and has also been named the number one hospital in central Missouri and number five overall hospital in the state by U.S. News and World Report

Overview

Practice Highlights :

• Join a team of eight providers within our Convenient Care Clinics, Nifong or Business Loop locations.
• Manages the health care for Convenient Care Clinic patient populations through advanced health assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and evaluation of minor injuries and illnesses.

o On average seeing 20-30 patients, convenient care mixed with occupational medicine.

Utilizes a high degree of knowledge, skill and competence in a specialized area to coordinate, manage and evaluate the delivery of quality patient care.

Serves as a role model, mentor, and preceptor for others.

Boone Health has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.

Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.

Responsibilities :

Provide exceptional medical care of assigned patients, ensuring optimal clinical outcomes.

Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to deliver compassionate care.

Perform thorough histories and physicals, adhering to hospital by-laws and best practices.

Maintain a constant state of alertness and safety in this critical role at Boone Health.

Qualifications :

Degree :

o PA : Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree – Accredited PA Program

o NP : Master’s Degree in Nursing (Accredited NP Program)

Experience : Not a requirement

Supervisor Experience : No Experience

License : Licensed / Certification PA / NP

Work Shift : Day Shift (United States of America) 7AM-7PM

Scheduled Weekly Hours : to be discussed during interview process. 3-12 hour shifts weekly. Clinic open daily 7A-7P
