Machine Operator

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team. You will operate various advanced machines, including press breaks, saws, drills, turret punches, lasers, and shears according to standard operating procedures. This role demands expertise in setting up, programming, and calibrating machines for production runs, troubleshooting complex issues, and performing quality checks on parts and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Operate various machines at an advanced level, adhering to standard operating procedures.
• Set up, program, and calibrate machines for production runs, ensuring configurations meet product specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex machine issues, including mechanical, electrical, and software-related problems.
• Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and efficiency gains.
• Perform final quality checks on parts and assemblies, ensuring they meet all standards and customer specifications.
• Train and mentor less experienced machine operators on advanced machine operation and troubleshooting techniques.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on machines, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve product designs, production workflows, and equipment performance.
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, machine performance, and any corrective actions taken.
• Follow and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Adhere to lean manufacturing guidelines, providing continuous improvement suggestions for gained efficiency.

Work Environment

This role requires physical activity such as lifting and moving up to 35 pounds, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. You may need to climb portable ladders and use Personal Protection Equipment. The position requires good manual dexterity and coordination. You will work a temporary shift of 4 : 30pm-2am, Monday to Thursday, with a 15% shift differential, before transitioning to a full-time first shift or weekend shift with adjusted hours and shift differentials.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00 / hr.
