Level 3 Software Engineer

The Launch and Missile Defense Systems division within Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Level 3 Software Engineer to join the Template Kinematic Estimation Library (TKEL) team. Our domain provides rewarding work that contributes to the latest advancements in the missile defense industry. TKEL aims to provide a common and extensible mission data processing framework that accelerates new multi-int fusion programs.

Essential Functions :

• Design, develop, document, test, deploy, and debug software applications.
• Research, identify, and implement solutions to complex, multi-disciplinary software problems.
• Work with algorithm engineers to design and implement algorithms that are both performant and extensible to new mission areas (e.g., OPIR, Radar) and platforms (e.g., x86, ARM, cloud).
• Integrate capabilities into new and existing programs.
• Develop software using Agile methodology.
• Utilize Jira to document bugs and enhancements.
• Provide software engineering support for multi-language (Modern C++, Python, and Java) and complex software systems.
• Enhance usability, performance, and maintainability of systems via analysis and bug fixes.
• Coordinate, integrate, and resolve defects in conjunction with the test team.
• Prepare software documentation and models.

Work Environment :

Launch and Missile Defense Systems division within Space Systems. Located in Boulder, CO. Normal hours 8-5 onsite. Clearance Level : Secret - But can upgrade to a TS / SCI level.

This position requires an active DoD Clearance (Secret, Top Secret, Top Secret / SCI) or the ability to be obtain an (Interim Secret, Interim Top Secret). Because an active or interim DoD clearance is required, U.S. Citizenship is required.
