You will provide branch leadership, project and task management, competency management for the assigned branch to include daily management of personnel matters, budgeting matters and assignment of tasks.

You will provide technical leadership for multiple launching systems, providing coordination and engineering expertise to projects within the branch.

You will ensure compliance through Department of Defense level requirements.

You will develop and / or maintain work processes and procedures and ensure appropriate application and compliance.

You will manage schedules for life-cycles support of shipboard launching system equipment and weapons.

You will provide programmatic, engineering and technical direction on the development of launching system documentation for multiple programs and systems.

Requirements :

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
• Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
• Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and / or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
• MSP / PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
• This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics.

Qualifications :

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level ND-04 (GS-12 / 13 equivalent) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional Engineer evaluating computer, mechanical, or electronic systems engineering program requirements to coordinate budget allocations, develop designs and plans, and provide technical engineering advice for shipboard weapons and launcher systems projects.
