This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Central Office in Public Affairs.
The mission of the Office of Communications at the Florida Department of Corrections is to provide clear, accurate, and timely information to the public, media, and internal stakeholders. This includes managing public relations, handling media inquiries, and disseminating important updates and announcements. The office aims to foster transparency, build public trust, and enhance the department's image through effective communication strategies. By keeping all parties informed and engaged, the Office of Communications supports the overall mission of the department in maintaining public safety and promoting successful offender rehabilitation.
This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.
JOB DUTIES :

We're looking for a passionate individual to help drive our internal and external communications initiatives and manage our agency's websites. If you're skilled in HTML, design, and programs like Adobe InDesign, and Illustrator, we want you! - Design and build eye-catching web pages and sites, customizing navigation and functionality to create a seamless user experience.
- Test navigation and functionality to ensure smooth transitions within and between web pages and sites, and conduct assessments to meet user needs.
- Handle web ticket requests by updating internal and external websites and configure graphics for web use.
- Plan, implement, and analyze website changes and upgrades, continually optimizing user experience, site content, navigation, and overall performance.
- Measure content effectiveness using site analytics, ensure compliance with statutory requirements like ADA, collaborate with stakeholders, monitor device and browser access, and stay updated on emerging trends and technologies.
