Description : Summary :
The Environmental Health and Safety Manager will develop, coordinate, and implement occupational health and environmental policies and procedures to promote and ensure effective safety operations in the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Collaborates with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules.
- Ensures completion of required OSHA recordkeeping and reporting.
- Provides technical and administrative support to the safety committee
- Stops operations and activities that could harm employees or equipment.
- Responsible for ISO 14001 documentation and audit preparation
- Management of key environmental indicators and programs
- Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
- Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
- Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.
- Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics
- Reviews safety training and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates.
- Conducts safety inspections and audits to assess employee compliance with safety regulations.
- Reviews accident and incident reports.
- Monitors compliance with safety procedures.
- Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
- Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and / or pollutants, as required.

Experience
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field and / or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Five years of related experience preferred with a focus in Manufacturing.
