Network Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides support including the configuration, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of switches, wireless, servers (VMWare, Mac OSX, Windows, Linux, & Unix-based), and related hardware and software.
• Installs and maintains application software on the network.
• Advises staff on effective utilization of existing network resources and tools.
• Analyzes network components to identify potential improvements and to make modifications in accordance with changing requirements.
• Assists in the study, evaluation, and selection of network hardware and software.
• Monitors and troubleshoots networks and works with Information Services, Arlington County Government personnel, and vendors to resolve any problems.
• Provides assistance to network users; develops documentation, equipment operating instructions, and trouble-shooting procedures.

EXPERIENCE :

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS :

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :  Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a computer-related degree preferred, supplemented by technical training in the operation of wide-area networks.

Experience Active Directory / Open directory in mac environment.
