You will perform a variety of hands-on operations in accordance with standardized processes within customer specifications.

Howmet Aerospace is currently looking for a Final Verifier to join our Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) group in Hampton, Virginia. The shift hours will be determined after training completion . Training is 1st shift, M-F 6am-2pm or 2nd shift, M-F 2pm-10pm .

New Hire Starting Rate : $20.82 p / hr. ; After 6 months : $23.13 p / hr.

This position will receive an hourly "shift premium" of $1.00 p / hr. while assigned to an off shift.

Job Summary : The Final Verifier will visually inspect metal castings for dimensional accuracy and surface defects to meet customer's specifications.

Essential Functions & Job Responsibilities :

• Read and follow work instructions
• Record data either manually or by computer as required
• Fully inspect castings for imperfections
• Check cores and passages for plus metal or other foreign material that could restrict gas flow using hand gauges
• Identify some castings with the electric etching tool or the engraving vibro-peen tool
• Maintain packing and boxing supplies
