Sonoran Roots is looking for a highly motivated and reliable individual to join our team as an Inventory Purchasing Associate .

ABOUT THE POSITION :

The Inventory Purchasing Associate (Distribution) is responsible for daily oversight of consumable inventory utilized in the manufacturing process and at our retail sites. This includes assessing stock levels, receiving deliveries, count reconciliations, managing stock discrepancies, and making distribution runs to our company facilities. The Inventory Purchasing Associate should uphold a level of professionalism, a willingness to learn new processes, and be thorough in communicating the supply needs of the business.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, Inventory Purchasing Associate - Distribution :

Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs.

Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.

Communicate to Leadership about any issues with stock.

Update internal databases with received order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts).

Perform weekly audits and monthly reconciliations for each facility.

Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization at each facility.

Stage and merchandise any new or incoming products.

Prepare and process outgoing shipments, ensuring all orders are distributed on time.

Make distribution runs to each of the facilities, per our weekly distribution schedule.

Liaise with Inventory staff to ensure all products arrive in working condition.

Perform consumable data tracking, operational tasks, and maintain quality inventory control.

Ensure that the cargo van is well-serviced, clean, and organized for distribution runs.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :

Minimum Qualifications (Required) :

Previous experience in a distribution, warehouse, or logistics role.

Solid understanding of supply chain procedures.

Ability to lift 30 lbs.

Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely. Certification is preferred, not require

Knowledge on MS Excel.

Industry knowledge is preferred, but not required.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.

Strong communication skills.

Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.

May be required to work in varying temperatures depending on the type of products being

handled.

Additional Qualifications (Preferred) :

  • Experience in the cannabis industry (formal or informal).
  • Knowledge of MS Excel
  • Industry knowledge preferred, but not required
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Cannabis-related education.
  • License / Certification : Must obtain and maintain an AZDHS Facility Agent Card to start work.

    Work Location : In person

    Criminal background check will be performed; most marijuana-related crimes will not negatively impact an application.
