Audiology Clerk
Texas Ear Clinic is a busy neurotology practice located in Fort Worth, Texas.
This position is a part-time clerical position (16 hours / 2 days a week) and will have some flexibility to be able to adapt to changing semester schedules.
General job duties include but are not limited to :
- Complete tasks assigned in CounselEar and / or NextGen which may include ordering devices, sending repairs, and returning phone calls as needed.
- Scan documents and put in the patient's chart.
- Check voicemail messages and return calls as needed, send tasks for the Audiologist to complete, or email the front desk to schedule appointments.
- Call patients to confirm appointments for VNG’s and HAE’s
- Verify insurance benefits for hearing aids and ensure information is in CounselEar.
- Communicate with reps and manufacturers as needed.
- Prepare necessary documents for appointments (i.e., hearing aid agreement, etc.)
- Fill in patient demographic information and audio chart for Part B forms and leave for the Audiologist to complete and sign.
- Process repairs by entering necessary information in CounselEar, boxing, preparing shipping labels, and placing at the front desk to be shipped.
- Unbox packages when they arrive and process through CounselEar.
- Ensure devices are charged before appointments and all necessary paperwork is with them.
- Perform clean and checks on hearing aids as needed (no direct patient contact, devices are left at the front desk and patients will pick up at the front desk).
- Maintain audiology supplies in an organized manner.
- Order supplies as needed.
