Infrastructure Engineer

Position Overview

Patron Points, Inc. is seeking a passionate, motivated, and versatile Infrastructure Engineer to join our small, dynamic team at our Woodbury, MN office. This role is ideal for candidates who want to take on a variety of duties and responsibilities within a smaller Infrastructure Team. It requires a proactive individual who can contribute to the management and optimization of our hybrid infrastructure, and serve as a subject-matter expert in infrastructure services, with a ‘customer first’ mentality in a service-oriented culture. You will advise technology teams on best practices, determine standards, and provide optimized technical solutions. You will also assist with architectural design and assess the impact of ongoing work throughout the environment. This is a full-time, in-office position at our Headquarters in MN.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage and maintain on-premises Kubernetes (k8s) and Proxmox environments, leveraging FluxCD for GitOps-based continuous deployment.
• Administer and optimize our Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Support networking tasks, including configuration and troubleshooting with Fortigate and Cisco equipment.
• Implement and maintain CI / CD pipelines, integrating FluxCD for automated Kubernetes deployments.
• Administer Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows servers.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible for automation.
• Set up and manage monitoring and alerting systems using Prometheus and Grafana to ensure infrastructure reliability.
• Perform database administration tasks for PostgreSQL.
• Handle secret management to ensure secure operations.
