Medical Billing Coordinator

This position is not a remote position, as you will be required to work in the office.

Position Summary :

The Billing Coordinator generates revenue by following up with insurance companies to ensure appropriate payment on all claims.

Essential Duties :

• Take patient phone calls to resolve questions or take payments
• Collects delinquent accounts by establishing payment arrangements with patients, monitoring payments and following up with patients when payment lapses occur.
• Process system credits.
• Follow-up with insurance on denied and no response claims.
• Compare payment amount with contract fees to ensure appropriate payment.
• Work system rejections and edits to ensure clean claims.
• Query providers with questions about services rendered.
• Meet with provider relations for various Insurance carriers to discuss trends.
• Other duties as assigned.
