DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES :

Objective of the Department

The Information Technology Services (ITS) department provides leadership and direction in deploying information and communication technologies and systems to support the Pan American Health Organization / Regional Office of the Americas of the World Health Organization (PAHO / WHO) in fulfilling its mandate. ITS establishes and maintains strategies, policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the effective and efficient provision of information and communication services in a geographically dispersed environment. Purpose of the consultancy

Under the overall authority of the Director, ITS and the direct supervision of the Senior Advisor, Applications

Development and Support, the Consultant / Contract Holder provides artificial intelligence (AI) engineering services and supports the development of tools and capabilities related to AI technologies in the ITS department. He / she will contribute to maintaining and enhancing existing AI solutions and support the development of pilots of new internal PAHO workplace services.
