Staff Accountant II

Ziegler Companies is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with full-cycle accounting and will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and preparing reports. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a collaborative environment while ensuring compliance and efficiency across all accounting functions.

Responsibilities :

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts such as general ledger accounts and document business transactions for Ziegler and / or related entities
• Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting standards with ability to account for complex transactions such as capitalizing versus expensing lease accounting and inventory valuation
• Managing all aspects of lease accounting under ASC 842 including new leases modifications and terminations
• Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies procedures and regulations
• Establish maintain and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures
• Assist with monthly financial documents such as income statements balance sheets and cash flow statements
• Serve as back up for various daily and monthly cash activities
• Handle Month and Year End close
• Reconcile various accounts including bank accounts and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with accounting standards

The pay range for this position is

$63100.00 to $75700.00

Starting wage is dependent on skills experience education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicants location. Along with competitive pay full time positions are benefits eligible which includes :
