Insight Global is seeking an Insurance Administrator for a Civil Construction clientto work closely with the Director of Contracting and the Contracts Team to obtain, review, and assess insurance certificate compliance and endorsements in accordance to Lower Tier Agreement Requirements. You will request and review Subcontractor insurance certificates & endorsements in accordance to the contract requirements. Data input into multiple programs, electronic filing, and being able to answer compliance questions. Attention to detail, follow procedures, and fully understanding insurance compliance / policies / risk etc. is a must. The qualified candidate should enjoy a role that will work with insurance compliance. The candidate will be reviewing COIs & endorsements with data entry 100% of the time.
This position is a 9–12-month contract to hire full-time position. During the contract it will be 5 days onsite with hybrid flexibility upon conversion.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary liaison among Contracts Specialists, subcontractors, and their insurance agents. Review subcontractor insurance documentation against agreement requirements, professionally communicate necessary corrections / revisions, and coordinate the timely approval of compliant documentation.
- Maintain, correctly name, and file subcontractor Certificates of Insurance (COI) documents, and accurately input insurance data into various departmental programs.
- Effectively communicate with subcontractors and agents to ensure ongoing insurance compliance and proactively obtain the renewal of COIs.
- Assess the risk associated with non-compliant insurance certificates and collaborate with the Senior Insurance Specialist, Director of Contracting, and Project Teams to coordinate resolutions.
- Complete continuing insurance education courses to maintain current knowledge of insurance compliance standards and stay informed on changes to endorsements / waivers that impact effective risk management.
- Work directly with the Senior Insurance Specialist and Director of Contracting to minimize potential company risk and exposure.
- Assist in developing and implementing improved methods and systems to enhance subcontractor insurance compliance, and refinement of the insurance review and logging processes to streamline data entry and efficiently manage endorsement reviews.
- Maintain a detailed and in-depth understanding of lower-tier agreement language, key contractual provisions, their intended usage, and the corresponding insurance requirements for each agreement type.
- Act as a collaborative member of the Contracts Department process improvement team. It is critical to support the collective team goals by actively identifying and implementing efficient strategies to manage the Contracts Department workload.
Desired Traits :
Two (2) years of technical administrative experience in construction or similar field in a fast-paced environment requiring technical competence and multi-taskingExperience with COI (Certificate of Insurance), contract law, lien laws, and contractor insurance requirementsHigh School Diploma or GEDCompensation : $30 / hr to $35 / hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
