Sustainability Lab Attendant - Federal Work Study

Position Summary : Assist in the day-to-day operations of the greenhouses and the outdoor sustainability lab.

Essential Functions :

• Maintains the landscape around the greenhouses is free of weeds and other invasive plant species.
• Participate in day-to-day greenhouse and outdoor sustainability operations. This includes cleaning of interior of the greenhouse and preventative maintenance on some of the greenhouse equipment.
• Cares for plant specimens indoors and out to include weeding, pruning, fertilizing and watering.
• Plant new seeds and transplanting plant material around campus.
• Responsible for cleaning and sanitation of all planting tools and materials.
• Interacts with Science faculty, students, staff, and visitors
• Works with community organizations utilizing the facilities and gives tours.

Computer Skills : General office and internet skills. Microsoft Office : Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
