Description

The Senior Accountant will own key components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations, balance sheet integrity and variance analysis. A major focus of this role will be supporting the implementation of the NetSuite ERP system, driving process standardization, and improving the efficiency and accuracy of the close. This role is located at the Company's Woburn, MA office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Lead preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting schedules while ensuring compliance with US GAAP
• Own the monthly close calendar and drive a faster, more efficient close through process improvements, standardization, and elimination of manual tasks.
• Support ERP implementation activities, including data clean up, mapping of processes, testing, user-training, and post go-live stabilization.
• Take primary responsibility for cleaning up historical balance sheet reconciliations, resolving aged items, and establishing sustainable reconciliation processes.
• Perform analytical review of monthly results compared to budget, prior periods, and forecasts, including clear explanations of variances.
• Partner with FP&A and functional leaders to understand cost drivers and improve visibility into operating expenses.
• Support inventory accounting, including month end close, costing and related analyses.
• Assist with annual budgeting and periodic forecasting.
• Contribute to internal control documentation and help ensure controls are operating effectively with the evolving ERP environment.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance reporting.
• Provide support to Controller / CFO on operational analysis and ad hoc projects related to accounting, close optimization, and scaling the business.
• Support accounting for new initiatives, revenue streams, and business growth in a fast paced environment.
