About the Position :

11 East / West at UPMC Montefiore is a 20 bed Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation unit. We care for patients from all specialties across Presbyterian and Montefiore hospitals as well as patients from outside facilities. Those specialties include : trauma, stroke, cardiovascular including patients on LVADs, general debility, and transplant (including Heart, Lung, Kidney, Liver and Abdominal Visceral),. We are a Stroke Center of Excellence as designated by the Joint Commission. A criteria for a patient to be admitted to Rehab is that they must be able to tolerate 3 hours of intense physical, occupational and speech therapy daily. We work collaboratively as an interdisciplinary team to assist the patient to achieve their highest level of function possible.

LPN must maintain state licensure where they are practicing or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement with the state where the facility is located. A licensed practical nurse whose license has lapsed for 5 years or longer or has been placed on inactive status for 5 years or longer, as permitted in section 13.1(b) of the act (63 P.S. 663.1(b)), may reactivate the license by following the state guidelines and would not be eligible to hire into an LPN role until that time.
